Welcome to the first “Research in Economics Using Sports Data” Workshop, organized by the Central European University and the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.

The workshop brings together leading researchers from various fields of economics who use sports data to discuss their research and to encourage broader interactions. Topics include:

• behaviour, biases, preferences
• development, political preferences and political economy
• organizations, management, globalization
• econometrics and methodology with application
